Banana Nut Bread…

Posted by on July 6, 2005

We had a great lunch at the Capital Grille. I really like that place, and I had an incredible steak. Abby, Jeff, Jenny, and Julie all went. There were a number of funny interchanges, but I don’t think there was one that was quite as funny as the following:

Someone: “I don’t like pound cake; it’s too buttery. I do like banana nut bread, though.

Well it’s not Monday, but it’s close (and maybe worse). The tuesday after a three day weekend is always brutal.

In other news, this weekend was splendiferous.  I played tennis Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday I had a wonderful three course French dinner (finished with Crepe nutella of course). As if the cheese-laden thing I had on Saturday wasn’t enough, I had fondue on Sunday. Needless to say I’m going for a run today :-) . Yesterday I went to see War of the Worlds (more on this later), and then went out to Paolo’s for some pizza. Last night I rode my bike down to the bank of the potomac on the Virginia side and watched the DC fireworks display. It was probably the best place to see it to be honest.

War of the worlds was crap, and I’m pretty sure that’s all I need to say about it.

This week I’ve got a lot of stuff to do, not the least of which is getting my visa for Hungary. Then I’ve got to figure out what Eurail pass I am going to get (and make that purchase). Needless to say, I’m going to be staring at a map of Europe for quite some time figuring out where exactly I want to go.
