MWSF

Mac World San Francisco today!

Who knows what Steve is going to announce? I can’t even begin to imagine. Is Apple going to release plasmas powered by a computer? Who knows? I guess we’ll see tomorrow!

Nothing

Posted by on January 9, 2006

The movie “Nothing” is probably the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Hands down. You’ve got to be kidding me. People actualy gave this positive reviews on imdb. All I can say is wow.

DVD+R

Posted by on January 8, 2006

Can someone explain to me why (pragmatically) we have 92 different DVD-/+R/W formats? It’s so freaking annoying. My old 15 inch powerbook just spits out the DVD+R’s that I’ve got right now!

Another Lazy Day

Posted by on January 7, 2006

Today was less lazy than yesterday, but only marginally so. I did manage to leave the house once to go get some blank dvd’s, but other than that, I’ve done absolutely nothing. I think tonight I’m going to go out to dinner with a friend from high school, but other than that I have no plans.

Casablanca

Posted by on January 6, 2006

Tonight was almost as uneventful as the day. Evan and I watched Casablanca tonight, and then I immediately headed home. I’m freaking exhausted and would really like to get some sleep tonight.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Posted by on January 6, 2006

I’m sitting here, sick as a dog, watching Pirates of the Caribbean. What a movie. Seriously, I mean it definitely wasn’t Oscar worthy, but an entertaining flick, no doubt. In the last several days, I’ve seen some real entertaining pictures. Let’s see, I’ve seen Sahara, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Batman Begins, 25th Hour, Contact, and a couple other ones I’m sure I’m forgetting.

Ugh…

I’m sick as a dog right now. Ugh.

Fear and Loathing

Posted by on January 6, 2006

I just finished reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. The book was utterly amazing. It’s both a very difficult read, and a piece of brain candy at the same time. The book amounts to only 200 pages, but at times the material must be read over and over simply to comprehend it. I can’t really describe it (and do it justice) though. Now I haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t know how faithful it is to the book, but I’ll be watching that as soon as I can.

In other news, “I’ve got blisters on my fingers!” from learning to play some Elliott Smith songs today. I think I almost have Miss Misery down pat, and I’m learning Say Yes.

Finally, Paige and I went on a run today. I was exhausted (mostly because I ran yesterday as well), and didn’t make it as far as I would like. I’m a little sore from all the working-out I did yesterday too. Hopefully that will subside after I get some sleep.

What a game!

Posted by on January 5, 2006

Wow, the end of that game was almost as amazing as the end of the game last night. It really did live up to the uber-hype that ABC was laying on it. I’ve got to say, hats off to Vince Young, he had a hell of a game.

National Championship Game

Posted by on January 4, 2006

The National Championship Game is tonight. I can only hope that it is half as good as the game that we saw last night!
