There are so many things I want to post here, but apparently all my time is being taken up by bar study. I just want to go on record as saying this daily show clip on the Stem Cell Veto is hilarious.

Needless to say, the stem cell veto is just obscene.

State Secrets

I’m pleased to see the judge rejected the claim of state secrets by the Bush administration, and denied the MTD by AT&T. The NSA wiretapping program is probably something that needs to see the light of day.

To be honest, going over Constitutional Law for the bar exam only makes that more clear.

CNN.com - Sidestepping Senate, Bush sends Bolton to U.N. - Aug 1, 2005

Not that I didn’t think this was going to happen already, but its still quite disappointing. The recess appointment power always puzzled me. It’s just baffling that the senate can go on vacation and Bush can just push someone through. It kind of thwarts the whole meaning of “advice and consent.
